I am interested in designing products through making and experimentation. Objects which display the process the product has gone through to be created and celebrate the material from which they are made. It is very important to me that these characteristics are shown in my work. This approach can be seen, for example, in my Hot Wire Project, where imperfections caused by the hot wire, capture the making technique. Each piece is unique and unable to be replicated. My 1 Tree Project is about using every part of the tree, preserving the natural forms of the timber and celebrating the flaws.
